Low Carbohydrate Garlic Bread

Low Carb Garlic Bread Slice with 1 hard boiled egg and tomato slices

The one thing I really really really miss being on a low carb diet is bread. Oh how I've been longing for a piece of bread. After searching for recipes I found one that is pretty good by Laura Dolson. I wanted however a garlic bread so I did switch up the recipe by adding 2 garlic cloves to the recipe. If you want, you can follow the link I provided to make this bread yourself, and then after adding the eggs, oil, and water, simply add 2 pressed garlic cloves to the recipe.

The great thing about this bread is that it only takes 15 minutes to prepare, 20 minutes to bake, and only has .7 g of carbs. To top it off it's a very healthy bread. Ingredients needed are:

  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups of flax seed meal
  • baking powder
  • salt
  • sugar substitute
  • oil and water
The unusual part about this bread is you pour the ingredients once mixed onto an oiled piece of parchment paper.

If anyone has a recipe for a low carbohydrate bread, I would really appreciate the recipe. Just leave me a message in the comment box below.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

  1. This is interesting, Susan.
I gotta try it. Use flax seeds for my regular cooking but never thought of making bread out of it.

    Thanks

  2. Ruchira, I used an organic flax seed meal that I buy at my local health food store. If you enjoy a heavy bread you'll probably like this bread.
