Struggling week by week, it was all that they could do
to hang onto their home of twenty years. All the memories of this place, their children
growing up here, their first home, soon to be on the market in order to recoup
any equity that they had left in the house they called home.
Sad but yet excited to start a new chapter in their lives.
Moving would be hard, downsizing even harder but it had to be done.
Home would be as always with each other. Home is where
the heart is, home is where love grows.
This flash fiction story of 99 words is for this weeks compilation over at Carrot Ranch. Stop by the ranch if you enjoy writing or reading flash fiction. I promise you won't be disappointed.
