When I was a little girl my Grandmother would always give me a white carnation to wear to church on Mother's Day. I remember asking her why white and not red or pink. She told me that wearing or giving a red or pink carnation was for honoring mothers that were alive, and white was for honoring those that were in heaven.
Today I would like to honor and wish all my relatives and friends,
far and near, a Very Happy Mother's Day this Sunday.
